It’s official: MENTOR in Culture is a partner in a new Horizon Europe project.

We are delighted to announce that MENTOR in Culture is participating as a partner in the new European project OSIRIS-EU – Open Science inspiring Inclusive Research and Innovation towards Societal Impact in Europe, funded under HORIZON-MSCA-2025-SE | Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Staff Exchanges.

OSIRIS-EU brings together leading European organisations, universities, research institutions, cultural organisations, technology and innovation actors, as well as strategic partners from third countries, with one common goal: to highlight Open Science not only as a scientific practice, but as a driving force for social progress, transparency, participation and trust in knowledge.

Through staff exchanges across countries, sectors and disciplines, OSIRIS-EU will strengthen international and cross-sectoral mobility, skills development, knowledge exchange and the institutional capacity of organisations to implement Open Science practices with real societal impact.

Inspired by Osiris, the ancient symbol of rebirth and renewal, the project aims to contribute to the transformation of European research ecosystems by strengthening openness, collaboration, evaluation, citizen participation and the connection of scientific knowledge with the real needs of society.

For MENTOR, participation in OSIRIS-EU marks another important step in our work towards shaping new models that connect cultural management, research, social participation, digital transition and European innovation.

Within the framework of the project, MENTOR will take on a central role in two key areas:

Participation and connection with local society, with an emphasis on the involvement of citizens, cultural organisations, schools, civil society actors and underrepresented groups in the process of knowledge production.

Communication management, dissemination and science outreach, aiming to transform the project’s results into open, accessible and useful resources for researchers, policy makers, cultural organisations, citizens and communities.

The project will run for 48 months and will begin in September with the kick-off meeting at the Universidad de Salamanca, which is also the project coordinator.

Our participation in such a strong international consortium confirms MENTOR’s strategic position in the European field of research, cultural innovation and societal impact.

OSIRIS-EU approaches Open Science as a new cultural condition: a way through which knowledge becomes more accessible, more participatory, more transparent and more meaningfully connected with citizens.

We are proud that MENTOR is actively contributing to this major European effort, bringing to the project its experience in the design of participatory methodologies, community activation, cultural and digital mediation, the dissemination of European projects and the creation of socially meaningful cultural interventions.

Open Science. Inclusive Research. Societal Impact.

The journey of OSIRIS-EU begins, and we are very happy that MENTOR is part of it.
